Study of political phenomena

Imagen
Hiii everyone!!! Today I will talk about my favorite subject at the university. This semester I’m studying the subject called “Estudio de fenómenos políticos” taught by Felipe Aguero. We are reading the " Political Science: A New Manual " of the year 2015, of the authors Salvador Marti I Puig and Josep Maria Fence, it is interesting because we commented a lot in the class and express our opinions about it.    The aim of the book is to introduce the reader to the study of Political Science, as well as to provide him with the basic and general knowledge that covers the field of study of said discipline. The authors start from the fundamental elements: what is politics, its history and how it works, the State, its main characteristics, the actors that participate and intervene in it as rulers, citizens, institutions, etc., as well as the different forms of government that it can take: assemblies, parliamentarisms, semi-presidential, presidential and others. I like this s...

Soa Bachelet

Imagen
Hi people!!!  I’m going to talk about the fabulous Michelle!! Michelle Bachelet was the first woman to be president of Chile, and not just that she occupies this position twice, from 2006 to 2010 and from 2014 to 2018. She entered medical school at the University of Chile, where she was selected in the 113th position. She originally intended to study sociology or economics but was prevailed upon by her father to study medicine instead. She has said she opted for medicine because it was "a concrete way of helping people cope with pain" and "a way to contribute to improve health in Chile. After leaving the presidency and while not immediately reelectable, she was appointed the first executive director of the newly created United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women). I admire so much Michelle Bachelet because she had courage to be president (twice) in a male chauvinist country like Chile. Moreover, she put on the politic...

The butterfly effect

Hi everybody! Today I’m going to talk about my favorite movie. The butterfly effect is my favorite movie, is a psychological thriller film written and directed by Eric Bress and J. Mackye Gruber, starring Ashton Kutcher. It is about the chaos theory; the butterfly effect explains the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state. The plot has a straight relation to this theory, the main character Evan Treborn, a student of psychology, finds he has the ability to travel back in time reading his owns life diaries of childhood, but when he starts change little things of his past, he triggers great consequences in his present life. I love this movie because it is very shocking what happens when the main character changes something of her past with the thing to improve his future and future of the people he loves. I totally recommend this movie because it is so re...

Bread & Roses

Imagen
The movie bread & roses shows how workers in Los Angeles fight for better working condictiones and their right for unionize, the plot is very important and it interesting how the movie shows it, I like it so much for this. My favorite character was Rosa, Maya’s sister, because she had a difficult life in United States, and she managed to get ahead and help her sister and her mother who are in Mexico and they don’t have money. She is a strong and brave woman, I admire her. I like the part when all the workers are organized, and they go out to protest with posters and shouting. But at the same time, I dislike this scene because I think it’s the most important part of the movie but the one that lasts less, the director ended the scene very quickly. My favorite scene was when Rosa talk with her sister, Maya, and was sincere for what she does to send money to Mexico, it’ was a moving scene, and so sad.
